Créée
pour aider un couple helvético-haïtien à mettre en place à
Port-au-Prince un collège destiné en partie aux enfants et aux
jeunes des bidonvilles, l'association a permis, grâce à des dons
conséquents, l'achat d'un bâtiment accueillant aujourd'hui plus de
200 élèves avec un taux de réussite important, tant au baccalauréat
haïtien qu'au baccalauréeat français. |

Association Haiti Cosmos - Geneve, Suisse
Haïti-Cosmos est une
association genevoise, fondée en 1993, dont l'objectif est
d'apporter un appui technique aux habitants du Plateau Central
d'Haïti, l'une des régions les plus touchées par la pauvreté dans ce
pays. Monsieur Jean-Claude François, haïtien de souche, et sa femme,
la doctoresse Amalia-Elena Pasteur, résident plusieurs mois par
année à Hinche depuis octobre 1997 afin de consolider les différents
projets de développement initiés par Haïti-Cosmos. |

Haïti Culture fut fondée le
23 octobre 1983 à Genève.il existait, à cette époque, d'autres
associations haïtiennes au travers desquelles militaient des
concitoyens engagés dans la lutte contre le pouvoir d'alors. Cette
action politique, bien qu'approuvée par la communauté, empêchait
l'adhésion ouverte de nombreux compatriotes qui craignaient des
représailles à l'encontre de leur famille restée au pays. |
