Friends of Saint Vincent's Center for Handicapped Children
The Friends of St. Vincent's Center is a small
group of volunteers formed to help the children and staff at St.
Vincent's Center for Handicapped Children obtain the resources
needed to educate and care for the children. We have provided food,
medical, educational and musical supplies to the children of St.
Vincent's since 1997. We also fit children who require artificial
limbs on our yearly trip to Haiti. In addition, we plan to bring to
the U.S. each year one child who has more complicated prosthetic
needs for several weeks of fittings and rehabilitation. The Friends
of St. Vincent's is an interfaith outreach ministry of
St. James's
Episcopal Church in West Hartford,
Connecticut. |

Survival Program in both the rural and peri-urban areas of Petion-Ville
just outside of Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti. Partial
funding is provided through the
USAID Haiti
Mission with an even greater dependency on individual private and

The
risk of dying before the age of 5 is 20%. Approximately 50% of
children suffer from malnutrition. Other prevalent diseases include
diabetes, malaria, typhoid fever, anemia, and HIV. It is estimated
that half the population has no access to organized health care.

Pierre Franz Belzince started this mission in his home in 1986.
Bon Samaritan was developed, organized and is managed by Haitian
Nationals. We believe this is the most effective way to aid Haiti.

is a US 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a
mission to alleviate the devastating effects of poverty on children
in Haiti. TWI was founded in 1997 by former US Navy chaplain, Father
Marc Boisvert, who had been assigned to work with Haitian refugees
being held in Cuba.
